On 1 August 2023, the Pemba Port warehouse was delivered and handed over by the building contractors to Grindrod. The project was completed on time and below budget, the construction phase being completed within 4 ½ months.
The facility constitutes a 3000 m² warehouse with a 6000-tonne storage capacity. It will support a new route to market for customers and form the basis of other strategic interventions with the Pemba Port Authority.
