We recently announced our interim results. These results were underpinned by the continued strong demand for Grindrod’s logistics solutions through our cargo terminals, infrastructure footprint, and complementary logistics service offerings. The achievements were only possible through the commitment and drive of our people, and the enduring partnerships with key stakeholders.

Some of the highlights include strong volume growth in our drybulk terminal facilities in Mozambique and the port of Maputo.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA, 25 August 2023
Grindrod Limited (Grindrod) announced its interim financial results for the six months ended 30 June 2023. Grindrod reported core headline earnings of R563 million for the first six months of this year (period), a growth of 26% on prior period, and doubled its dividend to 34.4 cents a share. This was supported by continued strong demand for Grindrod’s logistics solutions through its cargo terminals, infrastructure footprint, and complementary logistics service offerings.

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Grindrod donated 177 bicycles to schools in Namaacha and Boane in the province of Maputo. This project will directly impact 77 teachers, school staff, five mechanics, and 95 students from 5 schools in the region.

The Grindrod team in Maputo Port has again risen to the challenge of delivering operational excellence and efficiencies throughout the dry-bulk terminal facility.
