Grindrod volunteers teamed up with Durban Solid Waste (DSW) Education and Waste Minimisation (department of eThekwini Municipality) and planted a sustainable vegetable garden at Umthala Primary school located in KwaNdengezi, 35km from Durban, whilst creating an awareness on waste management and conservation.
Durban Solid Waste (DSW) Education and Waste Minimisation is a section under Cleansing and Solid Waste department of eThekwini Municipality with a goal of promoting effective waste management in communities, through various education activities. Focus is on waste management education, recycling education and greening and beatification
