Grindrod Bank teamed up with MakerSpace at the House and Garden show on 7 July and sponsored 30 orphan children to attend and participate in innovation & skill development workshops. The children were taught how to create items from plastic.
Over and above this fun and practical intervention, Grindrod Bank, Wildlands and the Blue Fund purchased a plastic shredding machine which will be used by the Blue Crew, a team of women earning a living from cleaning up Durban shorelines. This is another example of an enterprise development initiative whilst contributing to a cleaner environment.
