Congratulations to the team at Grindrod Shipping Training academy for their contribution in making the academy the best maritime educational institution in KwaZulu-Natal. This accolade was granted to them at the Maritime Excellence Awards hosted by the EThekwini Maritime Cluster. The awards evening was the highlight during the 2nd Annual EThekwini Maritime Summit held on the 3rd and 4th of April 2017.
Grindrod Shipping Training academy also exhibited during the summit to showcase careers at sea. Approximately 1000 high school students visited the exhibition.
The academy has trained in excess of 600 cadets since its inception in 1975 and is a proudly South African company with a level 1 B-BBEE rating.
