On 25 August, Transnet National Port Authority (TNPA) held a ‘Great Gatsby’ themed event at the Durban International Convention Centre (ICC) to recognise outstanding terminal operators.

Licensed operators were adjudicated in various categories including Safety, SHE Compliance, Transformation and Best Performance. Durban Port Manager, Mr Moshe Motlohi, said that relationships with licensed operators are central to TNPA’s role as a self-regulating authority that is mandated to execute operational oversight and monitor compliance.

Ocean Africa Container Lines (OACL) garnered the Best Performing Terminal award for the Maydon Wharf precinct at the function. This award was based on the percentage of volume growth per licence. Congratulations OACL!
