Management Development Programme

Grindrod Integrated Logistics initiated a learning project to develop middle management and talent in the business.

This was identified as a need and we approached the University of Stellenbosch Business School to provide a customised Management Development Programme (MDP). The first wave of delegates started in November 2015. Although the first roll out of MDP mainly comprises GIL delegates, Wave 2 and Wave 3 have delegates from across the Grindrod Group i.e. Sturrock Grindrod Maritime, Grindrod Intermodal, Terminals, Grindrod South Africa, Rail and Röhlig-Grindrod. This is how synergies are realised!

A year later, our first group of participants reached the end of their journey! They experienced many challenges and realised the academic rigour of the programme and we would like to recognise their participation.
