RML, a German trading company, approached Island View Shipping in search of a complete solution for the shipment of gypsum from Salalah, Oman to Durban, South Africa and final delivery to Johannesburg, South Africa. Axel Krumhoff from IVS worked closely with colleagues from Ocean Africa Container Lines and Sturrock Grindrod Maritime to facilitate this shipment.

The Amis Wisdom II, an IVS chartered vessel, discharged 30 000 tonnes in Durban in mid-November. Sturrock Grindrod Maritime provided the ships agency services and customs clearance and Ocean Africa Container Lines provided all terminal operations from stevedoring to storage and distribution.
The OACL team would like to thank IVS and SGM for their support and collaboration which resulted in the second successful shipment of gypsum.
