On 1 March 2023, Grindrod welcomed a group of enthusiastic young people who have all recently graduated and are transitioning from student life to the corporate environment. The graduates were interviewed extensively and selected on merit, attitude, and fit-for-purpose qualifications. The group excelled in every step of the selection process and demonstrated qualities that were aligned with the Grindrod culture and values.
The graduate programme includes theory-based training as well as on-the-job learning. Each person has been placed within a business unit or department and allocated a mentor to assist them in their journey with Grindrod. We hope to absorb many of the graduates into the business at the end of the graduate programme.
