UCD Cape Town recently took delivery of two brand new Kalmar 7-high container handlers at their depot facility.
The container handling equipment forms part of a long-term partnership between the depot and the OEM, Kalmar. Induction training was arranged for the driver on the new equipment. The handlers will be equipped with a telematics system that will manage the performance of the handlers as well as the drivers operating them.
An official handover was done with the Kalmar representative and the UCD team of drivers and managers. The handlers have been proudly named “FAITH” and “TURBO” by their respective drivers.
