In support of World Environment Day on 5 June 2021, a team led by Alfonso Baie SHERQ Manager Grindrod Mozambique and made up of management and contractors from Grindrod’s Matola Terminal, performed a clean-up of non-biodegradable material mostly, plastic. More than 26 waste bags were collected in about 1 hour over a distance of 500m. Hopefully, drivers coming through the port will value the effort made by the team and depose waste in the bins provided.
