Over the last year, Grindrod Intermodal (GI) has worked actively to move dry bulk cargo along inland corridors to the Maydon Wharf Terminal in Durban, by extending its traditional containerised solutions, to that of bulk handling.
By partnering with key customers and establishing an efficient and reliable service, GI facilitates the export of approximately 100 000mt of dry bulk cargoes monthly through its Maydon Wharf Terminal (MWT).
This week, MWT, completed the loading of 50 000mt of manganese onto the mv Aruna Hulya at a load rate of 550mt per hour, setting a new productivity record along the way.
