Grindrod’s donation to the District Government of Nacala will assist in keeping communities safe

Grindrod donated a hands-free, handwashing station; 100 buckets – each with an outlet tap (for washing hands) and 250 face masks to the District Government of Nacala. The Administrator, Mr. Fernando Doda Muzobingua allocated the handwashing station to the Nacala District Hospital and the buckets and face masks to 100 community leaders at an event in Nacala on 18 June 2020.

Two representatives from Grindrod Logistics Mozambique attended the event - Fausto Tafula (HR) and Ozi Honwana, General Manager. Cremildo Madeira, Austral, the cleaning and residue/waste management service provider, that supplied the hands-free, handwashing station also attended the event. Austral will maintain the station going forward.

The community leaders will use the buckets in their homes and wear masks, leading by example and educating the community on practices that will keep them safe.
