Further development of the Bulk Terminal in Maputo Port is well underway, with 85% of the major civil works complete for phase 7. The installation of the new weighbridges has been delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The installation, as well as the balance of the civil works, is expected to be completed in the second half of 2020.
The completion of phase 7 will enable the Port to handle and an additional 2.4 million tonnes per annum.
