Fátima Nacarare was recently employed as the first female truck driver for Grindrod Logistics Mozambique (GLM) in Nacala.
Fátima is a 32-year-old mother of two. She started her career 5-years ago, when Transport Carlos Mesquita (TCM), appointed her as a driver. Since joining GLM, Fátima drives the route between Nacala and Balama as well as Nacala to Malawi, which she enjoys.
Fátima is the first of many more female drivers GLM hopes to recruit, as they drive the diversity agenda.
