The annual Sunday Times Top 100 Companies Awards is one of the most prestigious events on the South African business calendar, eagerly awaited by prominent business leaders and the investment community nationwide. The awards acknowledge listed companies that have generated the highest returns on the JSE for their shareholders over the past five years, based on a hypothetical investment of R10 000. This year's evaluation period spans from Sunday, 1 September 2019, to Saturday, 31 August 2024, with the winning company determined by its ability to maximize wealth and value for shareholders during this timeframe, assuming that all dividends, bonus share allotments, and special payments are reinvested.
