Congratulations to our drivers
Grindrod Fuelogic (Kroonstad Operations) proudly announced that Sello Mashego and Eric Khumalo were placed second and third respectively in the semi- trailer category of the Shell Professional Driver of the Year 2016 awards.
The 30 Bulk Vehicle Operators (BVOs) who competed in the competition, are all star performers representing hauliers contracted to Shell SA.
In order to compete, the drivers are required to achieve an “A” rating for standards in safety and driver behaviour.
The competition was held over two days: On the first day the BVOs were tested on their knowledge around Shell’s policies, standards and procedures in the ‘Dangerous Goods Road Transport Operations’, by writing a theory assessment. On the second day, their driving skills were put to the test and evaluated by an independent service provider.
Sello and Eric won gift vouchers and R7000 and R5500 respectively.
