Grindrod Mozambique supports October Rose

A Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign, in the form of theatre, was held in October this year. The event, presented by a group of activists from “Renascer Com Juju”, narrated the real-life story of Juju Rombe, the founder of the association, who battled breast cancer. The story of this brave woman continues to inspire women facing adversity to fight and believe that their experience will help others. Employees from local companies, including Grindrod and other transport companies, members of the women’s forum, customers, Nacala Port Authority, the district Health and Social Action Directorates, educational institutions, women’s activist groups, Nacala Logistics, and clinics, participated in the event. Approximately one hundred participants witnessed and were impacted by the story of struggle, resilience, compassion, and hope.

Women joined their voices and echoed unity, solidarity, knowledge, and power.

A delegation from the “Renascer com Juju” association also visited Nacala’s district hospital, which is in the process of completing work on the construction of a room for CT and mammography examinations. Grindrod proudly donated construction material in the first quarter of the year.
