As Grindrod pursues its purpose of promoting Africa's trade with the world, it must expand its footprint in the SADC region. Therefore, brand awareness, stakeholder relationships, and networking have become increasingly important. Being the platinum sponsor at a recent conference organised by Africast, in close collaboration with the Ministry of Transport & Logistics in Zambia, supported that goal.
The Land-Linked Zambia (LLZ©) conference occurred from the 23rd to the 24th of March 2023 in Lusaka – Zambia. The conference was themed "Leveraging on the impacts of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) for the African Transport & Logistics Industry."
LLZ© attracted regional key players from SADC and focused on getting the best from the AfCFTA agreement while giving transport and logistics professionals access to strategic content, business networking, valuable lead generation, and brand awareness.
During the opening ceremony, Xolani Mbambo, CEO of Grindrod Limited, delivered a presentation on Public Private Partnerships. The presentation was very well received by all the delegates.
Transport and Logistics Minister of Zambia, Honourable Frank Tayali, and Assistant Secretary General of Comesa, Zambia, Honourable Dev Haman, also attended the event.
