Rohlig-Grindrod (RG) Head Office had the official launch of their new offices, 21 000 m² warehouse facility and 2 brand new super-link trucks, at a ceremony held at their premises in Linbro Park, Johannesburg on 27 October 2017. The event took place in a stylish, peanut shaped tent and was themed "Fire & Ice”.
On arrival, guests were taken on a tour of the offices and impressive warehouse facilities, exiting on to the function tent, where they were welcomed with a Rohlig blue signature cocktail drink, accompanied by deliciously assorted canapés.
The ceremony started with the ribbon cutting ceremony by the Managing Director, Kuben Reddi accompanied by the Executive team, Hylton Gray, Board Member and CEO for Rohlig Logistics Int. and Philippe de Pinchart, Rohlig-Grindrod Project Manager responsible for the building project.
Master of Ceremonies for the evening was the well-known South African performer and celebrity Loyiso Bala, who introduced the speakers Hylton Gray and Kuben Reddi. Kuben and Hylton thanked the shareholders, executive team, clients, business partners and service providers for being part of RG’s successful journey. Specific mention was made of Philippe de Pinchart’s enthusiasm for the building project, as well as Lia Lopes, for the planning and organising of the event, her meticulous attention to detail and perseverance to always create the “wow” factor.
Once the speech formalities had taken place, the famous Swing City Jazz and Blues Band entertained the guests with their well-known tunes. Guests were further dazzled by the aerial acrobatics artist and poi fire dancer, displaying RG’s branding, as part of their performance act.
The function provided plenty networking opportunities for management, staff, clients, business partners, service providers and media.
This epic event boasted an attendance of 300 guests who all enjoyed themselves being hosted by RG’s friendly staff, whilst being reminded of the scope of services provided - well equipped to meet all contract logistics requirements.
