The second wave of delegates from across the Grindrod Group – Sturrock Grindrod Maritime, Grindrod Intermodal, Terminals, Grindrod South Africa, Rail and Röhlig-Grindrod – has delivered its final presentations in the Management Development Programme and will graduate at year end.
The development programme, which is aimed at middle management, is an eight-month customised programme facilitated by the Stellenbosch University Business School. The delegates worked in teams (syndicates) and were given various business-related assignments to complete.
Said one of the delegates, Bryce Ellis, Grindrod IT Service Manager: “The development programme teaches one to think broadly across the business and illustrates how our combined skills and knowledge can provide solutions to various challenges. A very worthwhile and valuable programme.”
Nicola Patience, HR Director at Sturrock Grindrod Maritime, said that the intention was to run the development programme annually. “This will develop our talent pool and create synergies across the group. The third wave of delegates are currently undertaking the Management Development Programme and will also graduate at year end.”
Well done to the second wave of delegates who recently completed the Management Development Programme
